Cape Henry Lighthouse
Cape Henry Lighthouse at Ft Story, Va was completed in 1881 to replace the
older light only 357 feet away on steadier foundations. It is
164 foot octagonal tower built of cast iron and painted in
panels of black and white to make it an effective daymark. In
1984 the light was automated and can be seen for only 15 miles
at sea due to birght city lights.
