Standing guard on the beaches of The Graveyard of the Atlantic are lighthouses of North Carolina.  Baldhead is the oldest still standing lighthouse.  The others are:   Cape Hatteras, Bodie, Currituck, Oak Island, Cape Lookout and Ocracoke.  Roanoke Island Marshes Lighthouse (replica) is located in Manteo.  Some of these lighthouses have guarded ships to safety for over two hundred years.
